Simple Words Build Big Brands

Simplicity makes it easy for people to remember your brand and what it stands for.

Big brands always seem to say the right things in the simplest ways, right?

They aren’t out there using words that make you reach for a dictionary. They keep it simple, and that’s their magic trick!

And that’s the power of simple words, aka the ‘copywriter’.

Let’s take a leaf out of Amul’s book. Their tagline "Utterly Butterly Delicious" isn’t rocket science. It’s as simple as describing butter! But it’s catchy, memorable, and sticks with you.

Simplicity makes it easy for people to remember your brand and what it stands for.

Now, why should you care about this?

Imagine you’re selling chai in your little nook in Delhi. You could call it “Chaitastic Elixir” (fancy, right?), but who’s going to remember that? Instead, go for “Chai Sutta Bar” (shoot, it’s already taken) – it’s catchy, it’s easy, and it invites people to sit and chat over a cup of tea.

Bam! You’ve just created a brand people will remember and talk about.

Even the big leagues play this game. Think about Google’s “Search on.” Two simple words. But I don’t even think Google remembers this one xD. But they’ve had a name so powerful that ‘search it’ has become ‘google it’.

Or Nike’s “Just Do It.” Three words that get you pumped. They don’t need a paragraph to explain; they hit home instantly.

Here’s the trick: Simplicity doesn’t mean dumbing down. It means cutting through the noise. It means being clear about what you offer and why it matters.

It’s about being relatable, like a friendly neighborhood shopkeeper who knows what you need even before you do.

So, next time you’re thinking about your brand’s message, keep it simple.

Be clear, be catchy, and make sure it sticks. Your brand is not about impressing with big words; it’s about connecting with real people.

Keep it stupidly simple and watch your brand grow burrrrrrrrh!
