Don’t kill the bird

Some are good at igniting the spark, while others are good at keeping the flame burning.

The other day, I was having a conversation with my university friend. We were talking about how things changed after we graduated.

One thing led to another, and we argued our opinions between having a ‘9 to 5’ and a ‘Freelancing’ life. During our conversation, I spoke about the bird inside every human brain.

I’m unable to recall the first time I heard or saw the saying, but it has always stuck with me and felt worth sharing, and I’m claiming it.

So the bird, here, refers to the little creative kid inside every human brain.

We’re all creative in our ways. Some might be great at building things from scratch, while some might be great at executing given tasks.

But that doesn’t necessarily make one better than the other.

In fact, we want each other to make ideas come alive.

Even a brilliant scientist like Sheldon Cooper needed engineers like Howard Wolowitz to test their theories.

”An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea”. — Buddha.

The world requires great minds and better executors to make things happen. In translation, dreamers could keep dreaming and creators could wait on. But only when we join hands, great things are achieved.

Everything in this world is inspired. A fact ~ original content does not exist. Not being able to create original content doesn’t make you not good at what you do.

Again, some are good at igniting the spark, while others are good at keeping the flame burning.

But know that regardless of which part you play, you have to make sure that you are the king of the jungle.

So, here’s my takeaway from that conversation. Be it living a ‘9-5’ or a ‘freelancing’ life, try not to kill the bird within you.

And while you write your story, always remember to look around for that spark. It’s all around us, seek and you shall find!
