Part of the world’s largest community.

I’m a Rotarian & a Rotaractor, and it’s the best feeling ever!

I attended Rotasia in Bengaluru over the last 4 days and I have to say it’s the celebration of the Rotaract Movement at its finest.

Rotaractors from all over Asia attended the event, and I got to meet countless new people along the way.

Most importantly, I realized how big a small spark can get through the power of the world’s largest community.

There are 1.4 Million Rotarians & Rotaractors across the globe, and just for example, if every member contributes 1 rupee a day we can donate 511 Million a year to charity! 🤯

And the numbers are growing day by day.

But coming back to the basis of all this, Community.

And that community along with the Gates Foundation is literally on the last step of eradicating polio from the face of the planet.

The whole thing was possible because Rotary built a community and not just a crowd.

As Deepak Kumar says, Rotary has a common purpose and a hierarchy in the form of Zone Officials and District Officials.

If you are keen to learn about the organizational structure of a community, take Deepak’s Course and try to break down how Rotary has been running a community for over 100 years.

I've been part of Rotary & Rotaract for a very long time and I have been following all these principals.

Never really understood their significance or even that they existed. But now exactly know where to start with my communities at this moment!

Thanks, Anna.
